Biggest or most important tournament win of your career?

Probably beating Nicol David in the final of the 2007 British Open where I was down 2-0 and came back to win 3-2 and the title for the 3rd time.

If you could take any 3 people to an island who would it be and why?

My mum and my 2 nephews, because my mum barely gets to see her only 2 grandchildren as they live on the other side of the world and I wish she could see them more. I get to see them more often between travels but nowhere near as much as I would like.

Do you have any rituals or superstitions before a match or tournament?

Not really. But once I’ve started a tournament I will generally try to keep the same daily routine as much as I can – same meals, same practice time, same warm-up, etc.

If you were president/prime minister what would be the first thing you do?

If you won the lottery, what would you do?

Maybe buy myself a kombi van and do a massive road trip all over Australia. I’ve had the opportunity to see so many amazing places overseas in my career but unfortunately have barely been around my own backyard and that’s something I’d really like to do one day.

Who do you consider the favourite to take home the Australian Open?

I suppose this is where I should say me! But if I were a betting person I would have to go with the odds and say Joelle King.

What can we expect from you at the Australian Open?

I’m not sure what to expect myself to be honest as I’ve had some time off recently and not had the chance to prepare as well as I would have liked. But I will for sure be looking forward to having some competitive matches and giving it my best shot at the title.
