The Open will be held from the 8th-12th of August with qualifiers on the 7th. The centre will host over 500 guests including players from 24 countries, coaches, managers, staff and spectators.
The draws are strong this year for the M15 and W15 Professional Squash Association (PSA) tournament. Draws can be seen on the PSA website here.
Paul Coll from New Zealand is the returning champion after claiming the title in 2015. The Kiwi is seeded first for the tournament, hoping to replicate his success last year. Dipika Pallikal is the only entrant in the tournament ranked in the world’s top 20 players. The female Indian player is a strong contender for the title.
Australia will welcome Nicol David from Malaysia to the tournament. Nicol was world number one for over 100 months, a PSA record. Her success is nothing short of impressive. Nicol will be participating in two exhibition matches, before the semi-final and final of the Australian Open.
